Kara Lentfer

SPECIALTY: AMEB Rockschool, piano - all levels up to 8th grade, piano all genres + eisteddfod and performance preparation, vocal - contemporary styles and vocal - in-studio recording mentor + eisteddfod and performance preparation.

Kara studied a Bachelor of contemporary music in keyboard performance at Southern Cross University, Lismore and a Post-Graduate Diploma of music in vocal performance at The Australian Institute of Music, Sydney. She has had a career as a performing and recording artist since 2005. She started teaching beginners music, while a student in 1998. She continues to record and release her compositions as an independent singer/songwriter alongside a thriving teaching practice and performing career. In Gold Coast, QLD, where she’s lived for 10 years, Kara is regularly a ‘Mentor’ to emerging music artists, while she is also teaching piano, vocals, musicianship, theory and composition.
